Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of LGBTQI+ Persons Jessica Stern will travel to The Hague, Netherlands, and Paris, France, from May 13-19.  On May 14, Special Envoy Stern will attend the 11th annual European IDAHOT+ Forum in the Hague. Organized by the Council of Europe (COE), the Forum brings together European policymakers, activists, and civil society organizations to assess collective progress, accomplishments, and challenges in safeguarding the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons in Europe and around the world.  At the forum, Special Envoy Stern will participate in an expert dialogue on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics.  She will also deliver an intervention at the Forum’s ministerial meeting and meet with representatives of COE member states in attendance.

On May 16, Special Envoy Stern will travel to Paris, France, to meet with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
