The funding will be provided to the UN Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) Trust Fund and will be used for non-lethal logistical support, including food, shelter, and medevac services, for the Somali security forces. The aim is to bolster their capacity and effectiveness as they take on more responsibility following the African Union’s withdrawal from Somalia.
