Strise, a Norwegian startup, has secured $10.8 million in its series A funding round, led by VC giant Atomico. The funding will fuel its international expansion, starting with the UK, and broaden its customer base across various industries. Strise will also use the capital to enhance its AML product offering, solidifying its position as a leading player in combating financial crime. CEO Marit Rødevand highlighted the importance of AI in the evolving landscape of financial crime prevention.
Noteworthy angel investors, including Camilla Giesecke, Phil Chambers, Allison Pickens, Riya Grover, and Francois Callens, participated in the round. Atomico Partner Don Hoang, a former senior executive at Uber and Revolut, will join Strise’s board. The company’s innovative knowledge graph, combined with AI and NLP technologies, has already delivered substantial benefits to its customers, with a 90% reduction in diligence time and a 30% cost saving. Atomico is excited to partner with Strise in their mission to revolutionize AML processes.
