LyondellBasell, a plastics, chemicals, and refining company, has signed two new Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in the U.S. with TotalEnergies and Industrial Sun, adding 175 MW of solar power to its renewable energy portfolio. The agreements bring the company to 89% of its goal to procure at least 50% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030. The new PPAs include a 15-year agreement for 125 MW of renewable electricity sourced from TotalEnergies’ Brazoria Solar project in Texas and a long-term PPA with Industrial Sun to supply 50 MW of renewable electricity from Industrial Bravo solar project in Matagorda County, Texas.
