The collaboration aims to provide advanced blockchain monitoring, support, governance, and risk management to help clients adhere to evolving crypto regulations and enhance anti-money laundering compliance programs. The partnership strengthens KPMG’s expertise in forensic investigations, cryptoassets, and blockchain technology. The move comes amid a rise in exploits and frauds in the digital asset sector, with global cryptocurrency-based illicit transaction volume reaching an all-time high of $20.6 billion last year, according to the Chainalysis 2023 Crypto Crime Report.
