Adapture Renewables, a utility-scale solar developer and battery storage company, has signed three Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreements (EAPAs) with Meta to procure 330MW of renewable energy from solar projects in Illinois and Arkansas. Meta, one of the largest corporate buyers of renewable energy, aims to achieve net-zero emissions across its value chain by 2030. The partnership with Adapture Renewables supports Meta’s commitment to sustainable operations and contributes to its goal of adding 9.8 GW of renewable energy to U.S. local grids by 2025. The three solar projects, located in federally designated energy communities, aim to bring clean energy investment, jobs, and revenue to regions historically dependent on fossil fuels. The projects are expected to have a net economic impact of over $400 million, creating around 500 temporary jobs during construction and maintaining approximately 25 full-time equivalent positions during operations.
