CRM solutions platform HubSpot has announced a commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) across its value chain by 2040. HubSpot has also received validation from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for its emissions reduction targets, including a 47% reduction in absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions and a 55% reduction in scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from business travel per employee by 2030. The company aims to ensure that 70% of suppliers, by spend, have science-based targets by 2027 and plans to reduce absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040, all on a 2019 base year. HubSpot is one of just over 400 companies committed to achieving net-zero by 2040, according to SBTi’s validation. The company is pursuing various initiatives to address its value chain emissions footprint, including making its buildings sustainable, encouraging employee carbon reduction, and collaborating with suppliers, customers, and partners on sustainability journeys.
