SpiderSilk, a Dubai-based cybersecurity AI startup, has secured $9 million in a funding round led by Wa’ed Ventures, the venture capital fund of Aramco. Other participants include STV and Global Ventures. Founded in 2019, SpiderSilk provides an AI-powered cyber defense platform and continuous exposure detection technologies. The funding will be used to expand its cybersecurity offerings in Saudi Arabia to meet the growing demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions in the region. SpiderSilk aims to contribute to self-reliance in the cybersecurity sector for the benefit of public and private organizations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
